Planet positive printer supports responsible forest management

Seacourt, the Oxford based “planet positive printer” has successfully been recommended for recertification to the FSC ® Chain of Custody Standard for a further 5 years with the assistance of 2SB Management Systems.

Nick Dinnage the Operations Director of Seacourt comments:

“Having FSC certification is a requirement for all environmentally responsible printers. When requested we are able both to demonstrate that we have sourced the paper from responsibly managed forests as well as can print the globally recognised FSC label on our clients’ work. Whilst we manage the system ourselves, 2SB was able to provide some additional technical expertise which helped us through the recertification process”

Chris Passmore of 2SB adds:

“The FSC standards have some very specific requirements which need to be complied with. Over the years we have developed the competence not only to help printers but to help other businesses that handle wood-based products to achieve FSC Chain of Custody compliance in their operations, and we were delighted to help Seacourt with their successful recertification.”

The Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC) is an international non-profit, multi-stakeholder organisation established in 1993 that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests. The FSC Chain of Custody System ensures that the FSC-certified paper used by Seacourt has been responsibly sourced and helps take care of the forests for future generations.
