Neil has gained his management experience at the front line of technical manufacturing where he has successfully delivered mission critical projects, on time, on budget and to his clients' operational satisfaction.
His role to start with will be to support Chris and Jon in the manufacturing and service sector, as well as potentially develop competencies in the construction sector.
On leaving school Neil started on the bench as a Production Technician building electromechanical devices where he learnt a wide range of practical manufacturing skills.
After 5 years he was promoted to became an Assistant Production Supervisor managing a team of Production Technicians, managing the workflow in the factory to meet tight customer demands as well as providing technical training to his colleagues.
He then decided with a business partner to establish his own successful business manufacturing Printed Circuit Boards and associated components and over 6 years built it up to a turnover of nearly £1 million. During this time he developed his knowledge of Lean Manufacturing as well as the wide range of skills needed in running his own business.
He was then given the opportunity to join Cubic Transportation Systems as a Production Supervisor, managing the UK production team supporting Transport for London's successful introduction of contactless payment system across the network.
With that project complete he did some travelling and contract management before working for the LAPP Group supplying industrial cables and cable accessories where in his short time he was able to introduce a number of delivery efficiencies.
