I was aware when I took on the role that there were some shortcomings in the department and our reputation across the University – our main customer - was not as good as it needed to be. I was therefore keen to go down the ISO route. The need to get the certification became a really good way to install changes I thought were necessary which both Chris & Lucy helped drive forward.

Lucy became my main point of contact during the project and we scheduled her visits to run from late afternoon to mid-evening so I could do the day job. She also attended our first external audit acting as the ‘tour guide’ for our auditor which I was grateful for.
