Hydraulic Engineering Services achieve success under pressure

Hydraulic Engineering Services Ltd (HESL) based in Kent on the Medway City Estate have just achieved UKAS accredited ISO 9001 certification. This will strengthen their position as one of the U.K.’s leading providers of hydraulic services supporting a number of national utilities as well as other mission-critical activities in a wide range of businesses.

Andy Bute the Sales Director comments:

“We started doing 9001 about 20 years ago but then decided to not complete the certification since they did not appear to be any requirement.

Times have changed and it was clear at the end of last year that we needed to get 9001 as soon as possible and one of the consultants we contacted were 2SB Management Systems based in Kent.

Chris was in within a couple of weeks working through our systems and quickly identified the areas where our system needed to be brought up to scratch and he either adapted our existing documentation or provided the right document that he adapted for us.”

Benita Woolley the Operations Manager adds:

“By the time we got to the end of the project we were in “lockdown” and we had a number of Zoom meetings with Chris to prepare the documentation and to make sure that we were well briefed for the two remote external assessments.

The three days went very smoothly, and we were delighted to be given an unconditional recommendation for certification by the assessor from NQA who even identified two positive aspects of our system.”
